Is there anything comparable in SF? I'm not a falafel fanatic/explorer, but it would be nice to know of a decent place (maybe in the Mission/SoMa?).

Mamoon's is still there, but I think a different name. towards the end of my stay, I graduated in 84, there was a place down closer to Bleeker that I liked. up some stairs, and down below there was a head shop....
but it's the pizza that's so missing from Portland, OR. they're getting better with time, though. but Ray, come on out here!!!! Or, any real italian food.
